SendGrid is a proven cloud-based customer communications platform that successfully delivers over 45 billion emails per month to Internet and mobile-based customers such as Airbnb, Pandora, HubSpot, Spotify, Uber and FourSquare as well as more traditional enterprises such as Taco Bell. Intuit and Costco. When Airbnb, Pandora, Spotify or Uber email their customers with updates or offers, there’s a good chance they’re doing so through SendGrid, an email marketing company based in Denver, Colorado. The company has sent over a trillion messages in the last eight.
Description
SendGrid Inc. is a US-based digital communications platform that enables businesses to connect with their customers reliably, effectively, and at scale via email. It develops cloud-based platforms that allow for frictionless adoption and immediate value creation for businesses. The company provides various services such as Email API; marketing campaigns; and specialist services. The Email API service enables businesses to send emails and incorporates proprietary technology and domain expertise to significantly improve deliverability rates. The Marketing Campaigns service allows marketers to upload and manage customer contact lists, create and test email templates, and run multifaceted email campaigns. Most of the company’s revenue comes from the US.
Avoid at All Costs
To avoid this at all costs, we set up SendGrid as the solution to send e-mails from Azure as O365 doesn’t allow relaying. Microsoft also recommends SendGrid in their documentation regarding this issue, although our experience was surprisingly poor. All of their IP addresses are blacklisted by SpamCop, which means that you will not receive a single e-mail through any client that uses a reputation list as part of their anti-spam policy.
Mimecast, Barracuda etc forget to receive that e-mail. Out of 144 e-mails sent, 4 were delivered. Spend more money, and buy a dedicated IP for about $200 extra per month, not well what we expect to spend for sending less than 50,000 e-mails a month. But that’s also not a solution, why? Because even the reputation of that IP address would be useless. Save yourself the trouble and just avoid this company, I’ll reach out to Microsoft to request that they stop recommending SendGrid in their documentation.

Bad Experience: Sendgrid.com
As soon as I tried to register, I was asked to verify my business. After a day, rejected and my account was blocked for “policy violations” and “billing issues”, Sendgrid.com never sent e-mails to them. If this is a treat for new potential business partners, good luck guys. Should have checked the reviews before registering your account.
Avoid SendGrid
I signed up for their paid plan. Sent a small test batch of newsletter emails to my longtime clean subscribers. Found that 25%+ of emails could not be delivered because SendGrid’s mail server IP is blacklisted. To add salt to the injury, they reviewed my account and asked me to provide a list of reasons why my account should be re-enabled. And, SendGrid continues to bill my credit card while not providing any service to me. Also, could not cancel their service, redirected to contact support, which is non-existent.
This Company is a Complete Joke: Sendgrid.com
This company is a complete joke. They ask you a lot of questions to get you a free account that can send 100 emails a day. You answer a lot of questions, then they come at you with more. If you go to upgrade when they finally approve your account, you automatically move into further review status, at which point they are likely to suspend your account. I swear to god don’t waste your time signing up with this company, there are so many others out there that have better experiences than this. 0 out of 10 for customer service just like you are dealing with robots, not humans.

Sounds Like a Scam
Anything you pay below $89.95 is a colossal waste of money and time because unless you pay for a dedicated IP, 0 of your emails will be delivered to the desired address. I was using Mailwizz with the SendGrid API and I only got proxy clicks and opens from my campaigns to the ISP. Why offer something that doesn’t work? If your shared IP addresses can’t deliver a single email, why try to sell them? It would have been far more honest to have a base plan for $89.95 so people knew what they were getting into.
