I Almost Always Get What I Want

I almost always get what I want. Had to contact them personally regarding a part they sent which I thought was the wrong part number. He gave me the old part no. had been superseded and the one they sent was a replacement. They knew what they were talking about.

This is The Second Time I Ordered

This is the second time I ordered a part and they said the purchase was out of stock, in fact, was out of stock and waiting for parts to be shipped and delivered at Boats.com. Both times I received an email a day or two after ordering that the part was not in stock.

Reliable Service: Boats.net

Streamlined website, easy to order. I have ordered parts for my Tohatsu 4-stroke outboard motor for October 2022. Item (3YL064010 ECU ASSY (20) (Tohatsu), Propeller 3×9.25×11) arrived on time, well packed and great work.

If You Know What Parts you Need

  1. If you know what you only need when the parts break, it becomes easier to find the right parts.
  2. 99% of the parts I’ve needed in the last 6 years were in stock.
  3. Excellent customer service even when the shipper delivered an empty box.
  4. The young woman was able to reprise the part immediately.
  5. I recommend Boats.net to my friends and other people I meet at least once a month when they say they can’t find what they are looking for.

Mixed Experience But I will be Shopping on Boats.net in The Future

Got exactly what I needed for a reasonable price but there was a national backorder problem on one item and they were supposed to hold the entire order until that one item became available they didn’t tell me. If the inventory had been correct when I placed the order, I would never have ordered that item. So 5 stars (kind of) for what I needed, 1 star for accurate inventory and 0 stars for keeping me updated on the status of my order.

Terrible Customer Service: Boats.net

Ordered some stuff while trying to get ready for boating season. Unfortunately, there were frequent delays even though my items were “in stock” when I bought them. Customer service has become extremely difficult to connect with and is completely unable to provide simple information about my orders. I have tried calling and using online chat. Have been told that “Jonathan” will call me back with no further details. I have had several online conversations with “Tyler” who promised me an email response that never came. The chat ended randomly for 30 minutes with no reply from his side – this poor guy has never had a shopping experience like this. Disturbing indeed.

Order Finally Received as Requested

Ordered an oil change kit for my Yamaha outboard. Till the kit did not come. The item was shown as in stock at the time the order was placed but was actually on backorder from the supplier. Boats.net Usually ships the next day (delivered within 1 week here in Texas) so it would have helped if availability was accurate on the website. Phone support was not realistic with 1 hour+ wait times. Finally received news on the back order via email.

I Ordered Some Cables I Don’t Have

  1. I ordered some cables which I have not received yet. Got a call about this about a week ago and was told it should be shipped the next day. Still no cable.
  2. No, follow up to let me know what’s up. An email explaining the delay would be nice.
